AV Specialist
Siler Church Mission: To glorify God by inviting all into a relationship with Jesus Christ, growing in faith, and serving Christ in the crossroads.
Position Overview: This is a part-time position and includes ten-twelve hours per week (additional hours will be available on occasion), reporting to the Pastor. The primary role of the Audio/Visual Specialist is to coordinate all AV needs to execute seamless, high-quality Sunday worship services weekly (8:30 & 11:00am). This will include setting up, running, and tearing down the sound and video equipment used during weekly worship services and other seasonal events, as needed. In addition, the AV specialist will collaborate with the pastor and staff to prepare weekly song and announcement slides to be displayed before and during events, as well as coordinate a team of volunteers who will be assisting with worship services and events. The AV specialist will work per an agreed upon schedule that includes a minimum of two Sunday services each week and other scheduled church events.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate and execute all AV needs for seamless, high-quality worship services and events including a sound board and video equipment
Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot AV equipment/software (includes recommending new or replacement needs)
Set up and tear down AV equipment and alter room arrangements as needed according to layout
Build and maintain working relationships with pastor, staff, volunteers, and congregation
Collaborate with pastor and staff to produce and assemble Sunday slides and additional media in ProPresenter
Coordinate AV volunteer schedules and duties; work alongside, and train, the volunteers during services and events
Attend one weekday rehearsal per week in the evening
Conduct quality control analysis
Skills and Qualifications
Growing disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ committed to Biblical authority in all areas of life
High school diploma or GED
At least 1-2 years of experience working in an AV production environment required
Excellent organizational skills and experience managing projects
Self-motivated and enthusiastic about creating high-quality AV experiences
Excellent customer service and effective interpersonal skills
Ability to lift and relocate AV equipment, climb stairs, and navigate small spaces
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot AV issues and resolve in a timely manner
Comfortable using the following equipment/software:
Audio and video equipment including but not limited to cable boxes, AV receivers, media players, microphones, power speakers, and mixers
Internet Protocol (IP) network equipment including but not limited to ethernet and Audio-Visual Bridging (AVB) cables
Computer systems including but not limited to PC operating systems
ProPresenter and YouTube web streaming software

Family Ministry Coordinator
Scope and Purpose:
Siler Presbyterian Church holds ministry to families as a vital component of our life as a faith community. The Family Ministry Team consists of two coordinators who are responsible for providing leadership, organization, and discipleship to the church’s ministries with children, students, and parents from birth through college age and their families. These responsibilities will concentrate on using the coordinators passions, gifting, and talents to serve Siler and community families working as a team for children, students, and families.
Specifically, the focuses of the Family Ministry Team are:
1. To disciple parents to be the primary disciples in the home.
2. To train up volunteers to serve children, MS and HS students encouraging the leaders to grow in their faith and relationship with Jesus Christ to serve others.
3. To work with Lead Pastor to develop a multigenerational ministry of disciples making disciples.
4. To plan milestone events for students and families to grow their faith together.
5. To guide children ministry with weekly programming on Sunday mornings.
6. To guide student ministry with weekly programming on Sunday morning Small Group and Sunday nights youth group to study scripture, have fun, and connect to leaders.
7. To encourage students to build close relationships with family, the congregation, peers.
8. To serve students to understand their God-given gifts and talents and their call to use these gifts to minister to others in the church, community, and the world.
Qualifications:
1. A strong Christian faith and commitment to the Scriptures as the written Word of God, acting as a Christian role model to Siler students and families and the community.
2. Adheres to the beliefs and values of Siler Presbyterian Church
3. Must have a commitment to the mission of Siler Presbyterian Church to reach the lost and make disciples who make more disciples.
4. A Bachelor’s Degree from a college or university, preferably a Christian college.
5. Experience in developing and directing discipleship, educational programs and ministries for children or students in a church or other Christian setting in organizational, communication, teaching and volunteer management with a spirit of team cooperation.
6. A willingness to ask questions and work as a staff team to equip the church to disciple children, students, and families.
Salary and Benefits:
1. The salary for this position is in keeping with regional salaries for similar roles in churches our size.

3. Annual compensation increases are based on job performance and determined at the discretion of the Session.
